Everything that has an advantage also have a disadvantage and the lithium ion battery is not an exception. The disadvantage of the battery is that it is quite expensive.You can make your battery's life circle longer by doing some things like do not over charge the batteries. Once the batteries are weak plug immediately and once full unplug. The Dewalt DCD771C2 compact kit as said above comes with 2 batteries which makes you not having to stop your work just to recharge. You just use the second battery and as you making use of it you are recharging the weakened battery.
One thing though I don't like is that it does not come with a battery reading indicator to show if the battery is fully charged.
The higher the voltage the more work power a tool has. With the 20v power of the DEWALT DCD771C2 the tool is applicable to a diverse amount of drilling and driving.
The task a 20v drill driver can accomplish a lower volts power may not be able to accomplish the same task at the same time frame.
Some other great features to note is that it comes with a LED light. The tool delivers a 300 unit watts. It has a 2 speed range (0-450 & 1500rpm) for a wider range of fastening and drilling.

This product was given a high rating and I think it was well deserved. Why did I say that???..well going through my research I have come to understand that the tool is great, the handling is great,the size the power the other features are great for the Do it yourselfers.

If you have worked in the maintenance field you would know this isn't a professional drill, but for everyday around the house projects its great.
